Florida Automobile Accident Attorneys Warn You To Watch Out For Disabled Vehicles - Tuesday, July 29, 2008

The attorneys at CGWC would like to warn you to watch out for disabled vehicles on our busy roads. Due to the fuel crisis and gas prices, consumers feeling the economic squeeze are trying to get further than a tank of gas will take them. As a result, motorists are running out of gas on busy Central Florida roadways and having to leave their cars, creating hazards for the rest of us. Watch the medians, emergency lanes, and shoulders of Interstate 4, the toll roads, and city streets for these disabled motor vehicles to avoid colliding with a ton of stationary metal and iron. And for goodness' sake, as dreadful as it may be at these prices, fill up your tank and don't take a chance on running out of gas at an inopportune place or time. If you or a loved one is injured in an automobile accident, be sure to contact us for a free consultation about your legal rights.

Orlando Wrongful Death Lawyers Question Traffic Fatality Statistics - Friday, July 25, 2008

According to some, rising gas prices has had the recent positive effect of reducing traffic deaths nationwide. The National Safety Council reports a 9% reduction in traffic fatalities so far in 2008 as compared to 2007. The Associated Press claims some states have reported drops of 20% in motor vehicle deaths and that 31 states have reported at least a 10% decline in traffic accident deaths. Preliminary figures show the death rate in Florida has dropped 11%. But at CGWC, we think it seems hard to believe those statistics. This week alone, there have been four deaths from motor vehicle accidents in Orange County alone in the past 48 hours. So, don't let your guard down. Remain vigilant and attentive, and drive defensively. High gas prices may be keeping people off the roads to some degree, but Central Florida's streets and highways remain the biggest risk to your daily safety.

Florida Personal Injury Attorneys Rely On Experts To Prove Your Case - Saturday, July 19, 2008

Whether your case involves an automobile accident, an injury on someone else's property, a construction site injury, an on the job injury, medical malpractice, nursing home neglect, or a dangerous product, it may surprise the public that Florida personal injury attorneys must often rely upon experts to prove your case and get you the compensation you deserve.

Most judges are conservative and existing case law often binds them to take your case away from a jury and throw it out of court unless you have met the burden of proof they believe the law requires. Especially in close cases, experts can carry the day, and the personal injury lawyers at CGWC know this. Whether your case calls for an expert in medicine, nursing, engineering, product design, accident reconstruction, job safety, construction safety, or some other field of endeavor, CGWC knows where to find the appropriate expert and has the resources to hire them with no money up front from you. If you or a loved one has been injured, or if a loved one has been the victim of a wrongful death, call CGWC for a free consultation.

Orlando Personal Injury Lawyer Named Florida Legal Elite - Friday, July 11, 2008

The fifth annual edition of Florida Trend magazine's Florida Legal Elite names CGWC partner, Nathan P. Carter, as a top lawyer in Florida. Florida Trend invites the entire Florida Bar to participate in balloting each year to select the top lawyers in Florida. Only about 2% of Florida total of over 60,000 practicing attorneys make the grade during this balloting to be named one of Florida's Legal Elite.

In the balloting, members of the Florida Bar are asked to name the lawyers they hold in the highest regard and to whom they would recommend prospective clients. Florida Trend and Florida Legal Elite says the lawyers named are the attorneys who know their work best because they have earned the trust and respect of their peers. Congratulations to Orlando personal injury attorney and CGWC partner, Nathan P. Carter.
