Florida Set To Ban Texting While Driving - Saturday, March 27, 2010

The Florida Legislature is now reviewing a bill which would ban texting while driving. Drivers would have to put away their cell phones, blackberries and iPhones while driving if the bill is approved. Some teens testified in favor of the bill, and the evidence is clear nationwide that texting while driving is as dangerous as drinking while driving, if not moreso.

If the bill is approved, it will go into effect in October 2010.
