According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the State of Florida saw almost 70,000 hit and run accidents in 2012 alone. An average of over 3 people a week are killed in hit and run accidents in Florida. These aren’t just numbers. They are fathers, mothers, children, neighbors, fellow citizens. You can bet that when a driver flees the scene without regard to the safety and well being of the other driver and their passengers, the driver who left the scene was probably at fault.
