New Social Security Disability Rule Proposed

A new rule put forward by the Social Security Administration would require those applying for disability benefits to provide all relevant medical information to the presiding judge, regardless of whether the information hurts or helps their case.

The proposed rule, which is currently in the public comment stage, is largely in response to accusations that large Social Security disability firms withhold medical information that is disadvantageous to their clients.
