Who Is Liable in a Wrongful Death Case?

Representing Orlando, Tampa, Miami and Nearby Areas of Florida

Earlier this week, a Florida man was killed when one of the tires on his van separated, causing the vehicle to roll. The Orlando Sentinel reports that the driver was ejected from the van and passed away at the scene, while a passenger who sustained serious trauma was transported to the hospital.

Though the cause of this particular instance of tire failure isn’t clear, it’s a tragic reality that the wrongful death claims brought by our Florida clients have a variety of different origins. Negligent individuals can be held responsible for the death of a family member, but in more complex cases our lawyers have taken action against corporations that designed or manufactured a faulty product, or failed to warn consumers about the danger.

At Colling Gilbert Wright & Carter, our Florida lawyers have the experience to handle the complexities of product liability lawsuits, as well as knowledge of how Florida’s wrongful death statute might apply to your claim.
