Drug Use Common In Traffic Fatalities
According to a new government report, 18% of traffic fatalities involve drivers who test positive for drugs. Only about half of drivers involved in fatalities are even tested for drugs, so this percentage could be low, but it seems that this data suggests that drug use, in some form or fashion, whether prescription drugs or illegal narcotics, play a definite roll in causing or contributing to traffic deaths across the nation.
Don’t drink and drive.Don’t use illegal drugs.Be extra careful with prescription drugs that might affect your attentiveness, awareness, or ability to perceive and react. We don’t want to see you in court for a preventable mistake, and we know you don’t want to unintentionally hurt or kill another human being. Think before your drive.
