Steroid Maker Surrenders Pharmacy License to Florida Officials
The maker of the contaminated steroids has surrendered its pharmacy permit to Florida’s Surgeon General and Secretary of Health who says the company will never be allowed to reapply to do business in Florida. The steroids are linked to 17 cases of fungal meningitis in Florida so far. The Department of Health has also continued to urge all of the 260 medical facilities statewide that have received any kind of medication from the company, New England Compounding Company (NECC), to warn their patients of possible risks.
Colling Gilbert Wright already represents about 20 clients with either confirmed or suspected cases of fungal meningitis from injections of these contaminated steroid products. If you believe you may be a victim, contact us for a free consultation.
