Uninsured Motorists Pose Real Danger
Uninsured or woefully underinsured motorists pose a real danger to Florida families. A large percentage of Floridians carry only no fault insurance to cover a portion of their own medical expenses and no liability coverage to cover those they injure when they are at fault. An even larger percentage have low liability insurance limits of well under $ 100,000. With rising health care costs, a serious injury can result in medical expenses well in excess of that. In fact, there is probably a better than 50% chance that if you are involved in an accident, the other driver will be underinsured.
Protect yourself. When you renew your automobile insurance, buy uninsured motorist coverage. UM coverage takes the place of the liability insurance the other driver should have had.
