Six Killed In Two I-95 Crashes
Two separate crashes on I-95 in late May six killed people and shut down the southbound highway lanes in St. Johns and Flagler County.
In the first crash, a truck driven by a Jacksonville man drifted across the highway, became airborne and ended up in the southbound lanes. A passenger in that truck was ejected and killed, as was the driver of the Honda Civic struck by the truck.

Police told the media that the second crash, which involved a semi-truck, might have been caused by traffic back-up from the first. The truck rear-ended a stopped vehicle, which resulted in a chain reaction. Eventually, several of the vehicles caught on fire, and four people were killed.
Police are still investigating both crashes.
